The dapping block and steel punches are used to shape metal into a variety of dome sizes for pendants, bead caps, and more elaborate designs. Set includes 1 dapping block and 24 punches, all constructed of heavy-duty carbon steel. Dapping block features 18 half-sphere depressions, ranging from 3/16" to 1 5/8" (4 - 40 mm) in diameter.

In order to prevent rust, the dapping punches are lightly coated with oil. Simply wipe down with a dry paper towel or rag before using. (Avoid wiping with anything wet - water will cause punches to rust.)
